Can I use my HRD Corp levy for AI training?
Yes. If your company pays the HRD Corp levy, you can fund AI training from it under the HRD Corp Claimable Courses scheme (still widely called SBL-KHAS). The fee is debited from your levy account, so there is usually nothing to pay upfront, up to the Allowable Cost Matrix caps: RM1,750 per person per day for public courses and RM10,500 per group per day in-house. The grant must be approved before training starts, and since 15 June 2026 in-house training can begin no earlier than 14 days after approval.
Is it really free?
It uses levy you have already paid, so a course priced within the caps costs no extra cash. Anything above the caps is not claimable. Our 2-day public classes are priced at the public-course cap on the HRDC route, and your quotation shows the exact claimable amount.
Who handles the claim?
We prepare the paperwork with you: the grant application in e-TRiS, attendance records, the JD14 joint declaration and the claim. You check, approve and sign.
Use it or lose it

What is HRDC / HRD Corp?
The Human Resource Development Corporation
HRDC, formerly known as HRDF (Human Resource Development Fund), is a statutory body under Malaysia's Ministry of Human Resources. Established under the Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad Act 2001, HRD Corp administers the collection of levies from registered employers and provides financial assistance for training and upskilling of employees across the country. The corporation plays a vital role in ensuring Malaysian businesses remain competitive by investing in workforce capabilities and professional development.
How the HRDC Levy Works
Employers registered with HRD Corp contribute a monthly levy of 1% of their employees' wages. This levy accumulates in an account that can be used to claim back training costs when employees attend approved programs from registered training providers. The HRDC claimable training scheme allows organizations to recover up to 100% of training fees, making professional development effectively free for qualifying employers. All AITraining2U AI courses are registered under the HRD Corp SBL-Khas and SBL schemes for maximum claimability.

Submit Grant Application via HRDC e-TRiS
Your HR team logs into the HRDC e-TRiS system and submits the training grant application using our quotation and supporting documents. Applications under the SBL-Khas scheme typically receive approval within 5 to 10 working days.
Attend the Hands-On AI Training
Once approved, your team attends the 2-day intensive workshop at our training facility in Kuala Lumpur or at your office for in-house sessions. Every participant works on real-world projects and leaves with deployable AI solutions.
Claim Reimbursement Through e-TRiS

What is SBL-KHAS, and why it matters
SBL-KHAS is the HRD Corp scheme most Malaysian employers use to fund AI training. Get the mechanics right and your team upskills at close to zero net cost — get the timing wrong and you forfeit the claim.
SBL-KHAS vs SBL
Under the standard SBL (Skim Bantuan Latihan) scheme, your company pays the training provider first and claims reimbursement from your levy afterwards. Under SBL-KHAS, HRD Corp pays the registered provider directly once your grant is approved, so there is little or no upfront cash outlay for your business. For most corporate AI training, SBL-KHAS is the smoother route — and it is the scheme all AITraining2U courses are registered under.
Apply before the training — always
The single most important rule: the grant application must be submitted and approved before the course start date. HRD Corp does not approve claims for training that has already happened. Submit through the e-TRiS / e-TRiS system at least 2 to 3 weeks ahead to leave room for the usual 5–10 working-day approval.
