Cybersecurity & Data Protection is a free online security awareness course from AITraining2U. You learn by walking through short 3D workplace scenarios with a guide character, spotting the red flags, watching animations that show how attacks work, and answering a quiz at the end of each lesson.

The 10 core lessons cover phishing and social engineering, passwords and multi-factor authentication, devices and remote work, classifying and sharing information, personal data under Malaysia's PDPA, insider threats, ransomware and incident response, and backup and recovery. 23 optional lessons go further into scam prevention for telcos and banks, mule accounts, card and payment fraud, deepfakes, and security operations.

Frequently asked questions

Is the cybersecurity course free?
Yes. The whole course is free, with no account or payment. Your progress is saved in your browser; you only enter your name, for your certificate.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes, there are two: Cybersecurity Essentials (10 lessons) and Scam Prevention (16 lessons). Pass each lesson's quiz with at least 80% and print or save your certificate as a PDF.
Does it cover the PDPA?
Yes. The Personal Data & PDPA lesson covers handling personal data under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act, alongside lessons on classifying and sharing information safely.
Do I need a technical background?
No. The core lessons are written for every employee. The optional specialist lessons on telco and bank scam defences and security operations go deeper.
What device do I need?
A modern web browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. Nothing to install.
